Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Scrub sweet potatoes.
Put sweet potatoes in a pot with cold water and cook until the
potatoes are not raw, but a little firm (about 20 minutes past boil).
Cool potatoes.
Slice potatoes into pieces 1/2 inch thick.
Spray baking dish with Pam.
Layer potatoes in baking dish.
Create mixture with butter, bourbon, orange juice, brown sugar,
salt, cinnamon, and pecans (optional) and pour over potatoes.
Bake potatoes covered for 45 minutes.
