14.5 oz can diced tomatoes with basil, oregano, and garlic, undrained
6 oz can tomato paste
1 medium onion, sliced
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/4 cup dry red wine or chicken broth
3 cloves garlic, minced
3/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
2 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp water
Instructions
Place chicken in 4 quart slow cooker.
In a small bowl, combine the green peppers, tomatoes, tomato paste, onion, broth, wine/broth, garlic, salt and pepper. Pour over chicken. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until chicken is tender.
Combine cornstarch and water until smooth. Gradually stir into slow cooker. Cover and cook on high 30 minutes longer or until sauce is thickened.
