4 oz day old French or Italian bread, cut into 3/4" cubes (about 4 cups)
1/3 cup raisins
1 pkg (3 oz) cream cheese, cut into 1/4" cubes
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
1/2 cup maple syrup, + additional for serving
1 tsp vanilla
2 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
Spray 11X7 baking dish with nonstick spray. Place bread cubes in dish in even layer. Sprinkle raisins and cream cheese evenly over bread.
In separate bowl, beat eggs until blended. Add milk, syrup, and vanilla; mix well. Pour over bread. Cover and refrigerate over night.
Preheat oven to 350. Combine sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle over strata.
Bake uncovered 40-45 minutes until puffed, golden brown, and knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cut into squares and serve with additional syrup.
