Heat oven to 350. Grease springform pan. Stir
together butter, sugar and vanilla in bowl. add
eggs, stir until well blended. Stir in flour, cocoa,
baking powder and salt. Blend well, spread in pan.
Bake 15 minutes. Remove and top with chips.
Make cheesecake layer.
Beat cream cheese until smooth, add eggs one at a
time, add sugar, peanut butter and cream , mix
until smooth.stir in vanilla. Pour into prepared
crust. double wrap pan with aluminum to prevent
water seeping in. Place springform pan into a
larger baking dish, Pour boiling water into pan so
that water comes to 1 inch of sides of pan. Bake
at 325 1-1/2 hours or until firm
Remove from oven and allow to cool ...Refrigerate
overnight.
In double boiler set chips,peanut butter and corn
syrup over simmering water. When melted remove from
heat and whisk in the cream until smooth. spread
over cake and decorate with peanut butter cups
