     English Toffee

Ingredients
1 cup butter (2 sticks salted)
1 cup sugar
3 TBS water
1 tsp vanilla extract
2/3 cup ground or finely chopped pecans
Approx 1 cup Nestles Semisweet chocolate chips
 

Instructions
Melt butter slowly over low heat. Cook butter, sugar, sugar, water, and vanilla over medium heat until candy thermometer reaches hardcrack. (Approx 10 min).
Put 1/3 cup pecans in bottom of 9 x 9 nonstick pan.
Pour batter on top of nuts. Place Hershey chips on top and spread evenly as they soften.
Sprinkle top with remaining 1/3 cup pecans. When completely cool, break into pieces.
