Mix sugar, salt, corn starch and flour. Stir in milk gradually and cook over medium heat stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils. Add about 1/2 of mixture to slightly beaten egg yolks, stirring as you mix. Blend all together and cook 1 minute more, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, add butter and vanilla and coconut. Pour into baked pie shell, cover with meringue, bake until brown at 400 for 8-10 minutes.
