     Marys Raw Apple Cake

Ingredients
2 and half cups chopped apples(Mary usually used Jonathen)
1 and three fourths cup sugar
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp cinamon
1 tsp Allspice
One half tsp salt
1 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs beaten
 
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9 x 13 pan
Sift dry ingredients together. Blend eggs and vegetable oil and vanilla. Add sugar and mix. Add chopped apples and mix. Add dry ingedients and mix. Batter may seem dry but apples will add liquid to cake. Stir in chopped walnuts.
Pour into pan and place in oven. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until toothpick insert into middle part of cake comes out clean. Let cool. Serve with cool whip or whipped cream if desired. Cake will keep if covered tightly and refrigerated.
