In lg fry pan, brown meat, drain fat. Saute onion and add to meat, add tomato, chili sauce, ketchup then cook slowly for 30 mins. Add bay leaves and simmer another 30 mins- remove bay leaves. Cook rice until tender. Mix altogether in 9X13x2 in pan. Sprinkle cheese over the top. Note if you don't have chili sauce use dash chili powder.
