     Potato Soup

Ingredients
8-9 potatoes peeled
1-2 cartons chicken broth
1 8oz pkg cream cheese
2 cans cream of chicken soup
bacon-1 pkg cooked and crumbled or 1 pkg bacon bits
ham pieces to taste
onion chopped small
 

Instructions
This is best made with a leftover ham bone. Boil the chicken broth, onions, potatoes and ham until ham falls off the bone. Then proceed as outlined below.
If no ham bone available boil potatoes in chicken broth until very tender, add onions half way through. Mash 1-2 potatoes to make soup thicker. Melt cream cheese with some of chicken broth in microwave so will dissolve well when added to soup. Add all ingredients and stir until heated throughly.
