     Slow Cooked Homemade Refried Beans

Ingredients
3 cups dried pinto beans
1 onion
1/2 jalepeno, seeded and chopped
2 garlic cloves
1 tsp. cumin
5 cups water
29 oz. chicken broth
 

Instructions
Soak the beans overnight and rinse. Place beans in slow cooker and add remaining ingredients. Cook beans on low for 8 hours or until beans are tender. Remove beans from liquid. Drain the liquid except for 1 cup. Add 1/2 cup of liquid back to beans and puree beans adding the remaining liquid till desired consistency. Use or freeze.
