     Smoker-Maple Glazed Ham

Ingredients
5-7 lb. Ham Shank or Butt, fully cooked
1 1/2 cups Maple Syrup
1 tsp. Ground Ginger
1/4 tsp. Nutmeg
1/2 tsp. Allspice
10 -16 Whole Cloves
1 can Pineapple Slices
1/2 - 1 jar Marchino Cherries
 

Instructions
Remove thick skin and trim fat leaving no more than 1/2 inch thick covering on ham. Score ham. Combine syrup, ginger, nutmeg and allspice in a small bowl.
Place ham in a large dish and baste with syrup mixture. Let ham stand in syrup mixture for 1 to 2 hours basting frequently until ham is at room temperature. Heat smoker to 225 degrees. Suggested chips are Apple, Cherry or Hickory
When ready to smoke remove ham from dish and stud with cloves. Place ham flat side down in baking pan about 9x13. Place ham in smoker. Cook for 2-3 hours, basting at least 2 times during cooking time.
Before last hour of smoking decorate ham with the pineapple and cherries and baste. Internal temperature of ham should be about 130- 140 degrees
