     Pork BBQ

Category   Entrees - Maindishes
Sub Category   None

Ingredients
3 to 4 pound pork butt
1 cup black coffee
black pepper
apple cider vinegar (12 oz.)
2 tbsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 tbsp. red pepper flakes
2 tbsp. brown sugar

Instructions
Place pork butt in crock pot. Sprinkle generously with pepper. Pour black coffee over meat, cover and cook overnight on low.
In morning drain meat and remove bone and fat. Return meat to crock pot and pull apart with fork. Mix together the vinegar, salt, cayenne, red pepper flakes and brown sugar. Pour over meat, stir and continue cooking on low for another hour or two.
I've written this recipe as it was given to me. In my opinion it is too hot so I cut back on the cayenne and red pepper flakes. I also prefer to top my sandwich with a squirt of bottled BBQ sauce. (Bless my heart)
This is true Southern BBQ.
Serving Suggestions
serve on hamburger buns with cole slaw.
