8 oz shredded American Cheese (freeze for a bit before grating)
1/2 Cup grated Parmesan cheese
Mushroom Sauce -
1/2 Cup Chopped onion
1/2 Cup green pepper
3 Tbl. butter
1 Can crem of chicken soup
1/3 Cup milk
6 oz. can sliced mushrooms, drained
1/4 Cup chopped pimento
1/2 tsp. basil
Instructions
Cook noodles,drain. Place a small amount of sauce in baking dish, then half of the noodles on top. Top with half each of mushroom sauce, cottage cheese, chicken, American and Parmesan cheeses. Repeat layers. Bake at 350 deg. for 45 minutes.
To make mushroom sauce, cook onion and green pepper in butter. Stir in the soup, milk, mushrooms, pimento and basil.
NOTE - Freezes well. Freeze before baking. Just thaw and bake.
