     Toffee triangles

Category   Breakfast - Brunch
Sub Category   None

Ingredients
11 tbsp butter
1/2 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups flour
1 egg
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts (any kind)

Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F 2. In a large bowl, beat butter, baking powder, and salt until blended. Gradually add flour. Add brown sugar and vanilla extract until blended. Scrape down sides when needed. Lastly, add the egg and mix well. 3. Spread mixture into greased 13x9 inch baking pan. 4. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until edges are lightly browned and surface is dry. 5. Immediately after taking the toffee out of the oven, sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly. Let stand for 5 minutes so they melt. Spread chocolate evenly over bars. Sprinkle with nuts and let it stand until chocolate is set. 6. Cut into squares and then cut in half to make triangles. Store in an air tight container in the fridge.
