Cream butter and sugar together until smooth.
Add 2 eggs, 1 cup of flour and mix.
Add 2 more eggs.
Add lemon extract.
Mix together remaining flour, baking soda and powder.
Alternately add flour and orange juice until all incorporated.
Refrigerate batter for at least 1 hour.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto baking sheet lined with parchment
paper.
Bake at 400 degrees for approximately 10-15 minutes depending
on size. Remove just when bottom starts to turn golden, do not
overcook or cookies won't be moist in center.
Cool on wire rack.
In a mixing bowl blend together powdered sugar and vanilla and
milk, adding milk 1 Tbs. at a time. Icing should be somewhat thick
but able to flow to be dribbled onto cookies.
Adjust as necessary with more milk if too thick or more powdered
sugar if too thin.
Dribble icing over cooled cookies and immediately sprinkle with
colored sprinkles of your choice.
Alternately, dip cookies into bowl of icing and then add sprinkles.
