     Molasses Cookies

Ingredients
3/4 cup soft shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup molasses
2 1/4 cup flour
2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cloves
1 tsp cinnamon
 
1 tsp ginger
3 tbsp granulated sugar
Instructions
Mix shorten, sugar, egg, and molasses thoroughly. Blend all dry ingredients an stir in
Heat oven to 375. Roll dough into 1 inch balls. Dip balls into sugar and place onto greased baking sheet
Sprinkle each dough ball with water
Bake 10-12 mins
