     turkey lasagna

Ingredients
1 pound ground turkey
1 1/2 cups water
1 jar ready made pasta sauce (or use my recipe for marinara sauce) 28 oz
3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
2 cups cottage cheese
1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
2 eggs
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
 
9 uncooked lasagna noodles

Instructions
preheat oven to 350. cook turkey until brown. add water and pasta sauce. cook a minute or two and remove from heat.
combine 2 cups mozzarella, cottage cheese, parmesan cheese, eggs, parsley and pepper.
to assemble- spread 1 cup turkey mixture in bottom of a greased 13x9 pan. arrange 3 noodles on top. top with 1 1/2 cups turkey mixture. spread 1/2 the cheese mixture over that. repeat layers...turkey, pasta, turkey, cheese, turkey, pasta, turkey.
cover and bake at 350 for 1 hour. sprinkle with remaining 1 cup mozzarella and bake uncovered until cheese melts and is golden brown (about 10 minutes). LET STAND 10 MINUTES BEFORE SERVING! OR layer as above and cook on low in crockpot for 4 hours.
