In a crock pot, cook on high for 3 hours or until kernels are tender:
2 C. wheat kernels 5 C. water
|

|
Brown in skillet:
1 ½ lbs. ground beef 1 small onion
|
|
|
Add to crock pot:
Browned meat and onion 1 t. chili powder
1 28 oz. can diced tomatoes, liquefied in blender salt and pepper to taste
1 14.5 oz. can kidney beans
|
|
|
Continue cooking until chili thickens and the wheat kernels become softened.
