3/4 cup evaporated milk
|
|
2/3 cup sugar
|
|
1/4 cup butter
|
|
1 beaten egg
|
|
1 teaspoon vanilla
|
|
1 1/2 cups flaked coconut
|
|
3/4 cup chopped pecans
|
|
Pinch of salt
|

Instructions |
|
|
Combine milk, sugar, butter, and egg in a heavy saucepan.
Heat on medium burner, stirring often. Bring to a gentle boil.

Remove saucepan from heat and allow to cool for a few
minutes. Stir in coconut, pecans, and vanilla, and salt.
|
|
|
Use to frost cupcakes or cake. I like to frost top and middle
layers of cake with this frosting and then us chocolate
buttercream on the side.
