In a mixing bowl combine butter, cream cheese, sugar and egg. Blend with mixer until smooth - should resemble frosting. Add vanilla and almond extract, beat 1 minute more. Add the flour, baking powder and baking soda, beat 2 minutes. Spread or press dough evenly into a jelly roll 13x18 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Test with toothpick. Cool completely.
For the frosting, beat butter and cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar, milk, vanilla and food coloring. Frost cooled pan of cookies. Cut cookies into bars - makes 40 bars.
