Spray pan set aside. Crush oreos and drizzle in
melted butter until crumbs stick together when you
squeeze them. In a medium bowl mix up red velvet
cake mix according to box instructions, you won't
use all the batter, only about 3/4 of it.

|
Press cookie crumbs into bottom of pan making
sure to cover it evenly. Poor red velvet batter
on top of crumb crust, until about halfway up
pan. Bake it at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or
until cake is firming up all the way through.
While baking mix up the cheesecake.

|
In a large bowl combine the cream cheese, sugar,
eggs, and vanilla. Beat with an electric mixer
until smooth. Once cake is ready poor cheesecake
mixture directly onto the red velvet cake. It will
sink but that's ok.

|
Fill up pan as high as it will allow leaving at
least 1 inch around the sides so cake can
expand. Always use a cookie sheet under spring
loaded pan. Finish baking at 350 degrees for
approximately 40 minutes until cake is firm and
cooked through. Let cool. Microwave frosting
for a few seconds and simply poor it on. Finish
it off with a dusting of cocoa. Enjoy
