     Red Velvet Biscuits

Ingredients
Biscuits-
150g butter
150g brown sugar
2 eggs
350g self-raising flour
3 T cocoa
1 t red food colouring
 
Cream cheese filling-
60g butter, softened
120g cream cheese at room temperature
1/2 t vanilla essence
about 2 cups of sifted icing sugar

Instructions
Cream butter and sugar, beat in eggs and red food colouring.
Sift together the flour and cocoa. Add to the creamed mixture and mix well.
Roll out the dough, cut into heart shapes and bake 12 minutes at 190 C
To make the cream cheese filling- cream the 60g butter, cream cheese and vanilla until smooth. Blend in the icing sugar in half cup portions until it is spreadable.
Serving Suggestions
Sandwich the biscuits together with lots of filling and enjoy!
