Combine 1/2 cup butter with 1/4 cp cocoa and 1
cup water in saucepan. Bring mixture to a
boil, mixing well. In a separate bowl, combine
flour, sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Pour
boiling mixture over dry ingredients. Add 1/2
cup buttermilk, eggs, baking soda, 1/2 cup baby
food plums and 1 teaspoon vanilla, mixing well.
Pour into greased and floured jelly roll pan.
Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. While
brownies are baking, combine 1/4 cup cocoa with
1/2 cup butter and 1/3 cup buttermilk in
saucepan. Bring to a boil, blending well.
Remove from heat and add remaining powdered
sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Mix until
creamy. Frost brownies immediately upon
removing from oven. Sprinkle chopped nuts on
top for a garnish.
