     RED SAUCE FOR PASTA

Ingredients
32 oz can diced or crushed tomatoes
1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)
1 large onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp basil
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
black olives
 
diced mushrooms

Instructions
Sauté the onions, black olives, and mushrooms together over medium heat until tender.
Add all remaining ingredients and heat until boiling.
Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer until thickened, about 30 minutes.
This can be frozen for future use also or canned
