     GEORGIA PEANUT BUTTER PIE

Category   Desserts - Breads
Sub Category   None

Ingredients
1 Cup Creamy Peanut Butter
6 oz Cream Cheese
¼ cup Milk
1 Cup Confectionary Sugar
1 Container Cool Whip
1 TBSP Vanilla Extract
1 Gram Cracker Pie Crust
Hershey’s Syrup
Hot Fudge Topping

Instructions
Heat hot fudge topping in boiling water or microwave until it takes a very liquid form pour a generous amount into the bottom of the gram cracker pie crust and place in the freezer for about 30 minutes so the hot fudge topping sets again.
In a large bowl combine cream cheese, peanut butter, milk, confectionary sugar, vanilla and cool whip mix until all ingredients are smooth. Now fold ingredients into the pie crust over the top of the hot fudge topping. Smooth the top peanut butter layer out filling the pie crust up. Drizzle Hershey’s chocolate syrup over the top and refrigerate for 3 to 24 hours. The pie is also good as a frozen dish if you plan on taking this to a function during the summer months. Serves 8 to 12 depending on the slices.
This recipe was passed along to me in my travels in the Air Force. I was in a small town called Tucker Georgia and ate at a dive diner called Matthews Cafeteria. The fried chicken was outstanding and the waitress claimed the pie recipe came from Jimmy Carter. She gave me the recipe out of spite for the manager who like Colonel Sanders wanted to keep his recipe’s a secret and because I fixed her car. She was quitting in a month to go to college at Auburn University in Alabama. Not sure if any of this is true other than she probably did go to Auburn and hopefully earned a degree; but the pie is awesome! 07-19-1994
