2 cups flour
1/2 cup shortening
3/4 cups sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 pint sour cream
6 TBS. butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup chopped nuts

Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla thoroughly. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda together. Add to creamed mixture alternating with sour cream and blending after each addition. Spread half of the batter into a 10-inch tube pan that greased and lined on the bottom with waxed paper.
Cream butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon together. Add nuts and mix well. Mix one half of this mixture over batter in the pan. Cover with remaining batter. Sprinkle remainder of sugar mixture on top.
Bake in preheated 350-degree oven for about 50 minutes or until done (when a toothpick comes out clean).
