     beef and lamb kofta lettuce wraps

Ingredients
1 slice whole grain bread (into crumbs)
8 oz ground sirloin
6 oz ground lamb
5 Tbs chopped red onion, divided
2 Tbs chopped fresh parsley
1 Tbs chopped fresh mint
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 egg
salt and pepper
 
1 Tbs olive oil
3/4 cup lowfat plain yogurt
3 Tbs English cuke diced
brown rice cooked
paprika
lettuce leaves

Instructions
Turn bread into crumbs and mix with beef, lamb, 2 Tbs onion, parsley, mint, cinnamon, egg, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp pepper. Shape into 12 small patties. Nonstick skillet on med-hi heat, dd 1 tsp oil, cook patties until done.
Mix yogurt, 1/4 tsp salt and pepper,cuke, 3 Tbs onion. Add 2 tsp oil and paprika to rice. Serve lettuce topped with rice and sauce and then meat.
