     Bacon-Onion bread

Ingredients
1 package Lipton Recipe Secrets Onion Dip Mix
1 package active dry yeast ( 2 1/2 tsp)
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 tbsp real Oscar Mayer bacon bits
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/3 cup water
1 egg
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 cup small curd cottage cheese
 

Instructions
In large mixing bowl, combine yeast, 1 cup flour,dip mix, baking soda and bacon bits. In saucepan heat together water, butter, cottage cheese to just warm. Add egg to liquids in pan. Mix together. Add liquids to dry ingredients. Beat low speed 2 minutes. Beat high 3 minutes by hand or mixer. Stir in remaining flour. Turn dough into greased bowl, cover and let rise until double (about 1 1/2 hours) Stir down,put in greased loaf pan. Let rise 40 minutes covered with tea towel. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Take out of oven, brush with butter and sprinkle with kosher salt. Let cool. Great toasted with butter.
You can double or triple recipe to make 2 or 3 loaves at a time.
