     Slow-Cooker Cowboy Stew

Category   Entrees - Maindishes
Sub Category   None
Servings   2

Ingredients
6 ounces beef stew meat or venison
1 potato, unpeeled, cut into 1-inch pieces
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 can (16 ounces) baked beans in barbecue sauce

Instructions
In 2 1/2- to 3 1/2-quart slow cooker, mix beef, potato, onion, salt and pepper. Spread beans over beef mixture.
Cover and cook on low heat setting 8 to 10 hours or until beef is tender.
My ratings are based on the kids reactions, and this one definitely gets a 5. I have seen several people saying theirs burnt, and I think some people are cooking it way too long. 8 hours should be more than enough. I would also recommend trying different flavors of beans with it. I used Maple Brown Sugar flavored. Even better, it tastes good heated up the next day too. Random person commenting.
