Peel potatoes and cut into 1/2 inch cubes. Place in bottom of slow
cooker. Add carrots and celery. Add all other ingredients in order
given EXCEPT peas and cornstarch. Do NOT stir. Cover and cook
on low 8-10 hours. Stir. Rinse peas in warm water and add to
crock pot.Mix cornstarch with 3 T water in small jar and shake..
Add half of mixture to stew gradually, stir gently but well. Add
remaining cornstarch mixture until desired thickness. (I don;t ever
add the peas or the cornstarch)
