     Swiss Steak Burgandy

Ingredients
2 lbs of 3/4 inch thick round steak
1-1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1/8 tsp garlic powder
1/8 tsp majoram
1/8 tsp thyme
1/2 c. thinly sliced onion
3 oz chopped mushrooms, drained
1 tsp browning sauce (like Kitchen Bouquet)
 
Mushroom broth
Burgandy wine
1 Tbsp cornstarch and 1/2 c. water

Instructions
Cut meat into 6 portions. Arrange on lightly greased piece of aluminum (about 20 in long). Sprinkle with salt and herbs. Top with onions and drained mushrooms. Pour the browning sauce and broth on top of meat. Bring foil up and over using the drugstore fold.
Bake at 375° for 1-1/2 hours. Roll back foil and pour juices in saucepan. Mix cornstarch with 1/2 c water or wine and pour over meat.
