Pour boiling water over the Kellogg's and Nabisco All Bran. Stir and set aside.
In a new bowl, cream together the shortening and sugar.
Add the eggs and beat.

Add the buttermilk and bran mixture, stirring well.
Add the raisins.

Stir the flour, soda and salt mixture into the bran mix. Stir until all the flour is moistened. Do not beat.
|
|
|
Store in refrigerator. Use when needed. Makes 4 quarts. Plop in greased muffin tins, do not stir before using. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes.
