     Beef, sweet potato and kale stew

Ingredients
2 lbs beef stew meat cut into 1inch pieces
4 tbl flour
1 env dry au jus flavored gravy mix
2 tbl oil
salt and pepper
onion powder
2 cans (14.5 oz each) chicken broth
1 8oz can tomato sauce
1/2 C minced dried fruits
 
2 large sweet potatoes cut into pieces
4 C chopped trimmed fresh kale

Instructions
In bowl toss beef with flour ,dry gravy mix and salt and pepper. Heat 2 tbl oil in pan over md heat. add half of beef, cook turning until browned 5 minutes. transfer to bowl and repeat. season meat with salt, pepper and onion powder. add broth, tomato sauce and 1 C water and cook, scraping up browned bits from bottom of pot. add dried fruit, then beef, reduce heat and cover and simmer 30 minutes. add potatoes and cover and simmer 1 hour. add kale the last 10 minutes . delicious!!
