     FRENCH ONION SOUP

Ingredients
3 lg onions, thinly sliced
1/2 c. butter
4 cans onion soup
4 cans beef broth
2 cans water
 

Instructions
Cook onions in butter until brown. Add the remaining ingredients. Heat for 1/2 hour. Fill 8 bowls with equal amounts of soup and onions. Top each bowl with slice of French bread which had been toasted and cubed; sprinkle with grated mozzarella cheese. Place in oven for 5 to 10 minutes at 300°. Makes 8 servings.
