Instructions
How to decaffeinate tea- About 80% of tea's caffeine is released within the first 30 seconds of steeping. Discard the water after the first 30 seconds of steeping, then add fresh boiling water to the rest of the leaves.
How to brew a pot of tea- Need fresh water, the right temperature and the correct amount of brewing time. Heat freshly drawn water. Just before it boils, pour water into teapot to a depth of 1 inch and swirl to warm the pot. Pour it out and add 1 tsp tea for each person and one for the pot.
Add rapidly boiling water, stir once and ut a tea cozy on top. When brewed, stir once again and pour the tea through a strainer. Used tea leaves can clog drains, so recyle them.
Green and white tea should not be brewed with boiling water and not as long as black tea. Temperatures should be 160° for white tea and 160-180° for green tea. Steeping is usually between 1-2.5 minutes for both.
