Slice the uncut hot dog buns across to create slices. Toast at 300° for 20 minutes. Turn over if needed.
Combine the oil, margarine, instant onions, parsley flakes and garlic salt. Using either a large bag or Tupperware bowl, toss the cooled, toasted bvuns in the oil mixture and coat with the oil, onions, flakes and salt. Cool.
