Preheat oven to 325. Generously grease (using at least 1 tbl
solid shortening) and flour 12c Bundt pan. In large bowl, blend
all cake ingredients except apples and nuts. Beat 3 minutes at
medium speed. BY HAND, stir in apples and nuts. Bake 50 to 65
minutes, until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool
upright in pan 15 minutes. Turn out onto rack to cool completely.
