Preheat oven to 500 degrees Place Rib Roast in the pan (I prefer on a rack) and cover with olive oil or wesson oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cover with foil. Place in the oven and bake for 8 min per pound for rare. Turn oven off and let stand for 1 hour DONT OPEN THE DOOR
