put butter, onions, peppers and garlic in frying pan and
simmer a few minutes at least until onions turn clear, Add
chili powder, salt and pepper, stir tomato sauce, then add the
homie. Let simmer on low and at this point you might have to
add a bit of water but not enough to make it soggy.
My Oma and my Mom both added one bay leaf while the
veggies were simmering and then removed the leaf before
serving. Its really good that way but I always forget to add.
Serve in large bowl and sprinkle grated cheese on top
