     Oven Roasted Falafel. Chickpea Patties

Ingredients
1 can chick peas
1 small onion chopped
2-4 cloves garlic peeled
2 T fresh parsley
2 T fresh cilantro
1 tsp cumin
pinch dried chili flakes
1/4 c whole wheat flour or gluten free flour
1 tsp baking powder
 
2 T cooking oil
Freh pitas, tzatziki, chopped cucumber, tomatoes and red onion

Instructions
Pre heat oven to 425. Place chick peas onion garlic cilantro parsley cumin and chili flakes in a food processor and pulse until combined but still chunky. Add flour and baking powder and pulse until it turns into a soft mixture that you can roll into balls without sticking to your hands Add another spoonful of flour if it is too sticky.
Roll dough into meatball size balls and gently flatten each into a little patty. Place patties on a heavy rimmed baking sheet preferably one that's a dark colour. Brush each patty with canola oil. Flip over and brush other side.
Bake for 15 min then flip over and roast another 10 min until crisp and golden on both sides.
Serve warm wrapped in a pita with tzatziki cucumber tomato and red onions.
