     Fish Kuzhambu

Ingredients
TO GRIND
1 tsp jeera
10 pepper corns
curry leaves
1/2 tsp saunf
2 tsp chilly, 3 tsp dhaniya
1/2 tsp turmeric
2 big onions
lemon size tamarind
 
FOR GRAVY
10tsp gingely oil
1 tsp fenugreek
1 tsp jeera
1 tsp mustard/urad
lots of garlic, 20 onion shallots
1 tomato
1/2 kg fish

Instructions
soak tamarind in water for pulp.
heat 2 tsp oil in a pan, add pepper corns, jeera, saunf, curry leaves followed by roughly chopped big onions. put off the stove and add chilly, dhaniya, turmeric. let it cool and grind to a fine paste.mix it with tamarind pulp and salt. keep it aside.
Heat gingely oil. add fenugreek, jeera, mustard and urad. add garlic followed by shallots. add tomatos followed by ground mixture. heat nicely till raw smell fades and boils.
sim the gravy and check for salt. add fish and cook with lid closed till it floats.
