     Snickerdoodle Crisps

Ingredients
1 cup butter, softened
2 cups sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
3 cups all purpose flour
4 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 tsp ground ginger
3/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp ground allspice
 
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
SPICED SUGAR-
1/3 cup sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
3/4 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ground allspice

Instructions
In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. In another bowl, whisk flour, spices, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt; gradually berate into creamed mixture
Divide dough in half; shape each into an 8-inch long roll. Wrap in plastic wrap; refrigerate dough 2 hours or until firm.
Preheat oven to 350. In a small bowl, mix spiced sugar ingredients. Unwrap and cut dough crosswise into 1/4 inch slices. Press cookies into spiced sugar to coat both sides or sprinkle over cookies.
Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. bake 7-9 minutes or until golden. Cool on pans 2 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool. Nutrition per cookie- 84 calories, 3 g fat, 14 mg chol, 68 mg sodium, 13 g carb, 1 g protein
