     Grilled Artichokes

Ingredients
4 large Artichokes
1/4 c Balsamic Vinegar
1/4 c Water
1/4 c Soy Sauce
1/4 c Olive Oil
1 T minced Ginger
1 tsp Garlic Garlic seasoning
Ground Pepper
 

Instructions
Slice artichoke tops off, trim stem and tips of individual leaves. Boil until bottoms pierce easily (25-30 mins). Drain artichokes. Cool. Cut lengthwise. Scrape out any fuzziness and purple tipped petals.
Mix remaining ingredients in zip-loc bag. Place artichokes in bag, coat evenly. Marinade overnight (or at least one hour). RESERVE MARINADE!
Drain artichokes. Place cut side down on medium grill. Grill 5-7 mins, until lightly brown. turn over, drizzle with the reserved marinade. Grill add'l 3-4 mins more, until tips are lightly charred.
Drizzle with favorite balsamic glaze to serve. (Optional)
