Gravy-
Cook Sausage in a skillet over medium-low heat. Stir and break apart sausage with a spatula, Cook until Golden brown. With a slotted spoon, remove sausage to a paper towel/napkin covered plate.
Then add then shortening/lard to the skillet with the dripping from the Sausage. Add the flour and stir until bubbly and blended. Gradually add milk, and continue stirring until mixture is thickened and bubbly.
Add the sausage, and if too thick you may want to add a little more milk. Taste, if you want then add the salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper.Check out our recipe for Biscuits to complete this Meal.
