Melt the butter in the microwave and set aside in a small
bowl. Measure out the flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder
and combine in a medium sized bowl.
In another bowl, stir the egg and milk together. Create a well
in the flour mixture and pour the egg/milk mixture and the
butter into the well. Stir everything together until just
combined and still lumpy. Let the batter rest for about 5
minutes while you set up a lightly oiled pan on medium heat.
Pour the batter into the pan and stop at the size of your
liking. Cook each side until golden brown.
