1 cup strong black coffee OR 2 tsp powdered instant coffee plus1 cup boiling water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour two 9
inch round baking pans or one 13x9 baking pan.
Stir together Sugar, Flour, Cocoa, Baking soda,
Baking powder and Salt in a large bowl. Add Eggs,
Buttermilk, Coffee, Oil, and Vanilla. Beat on
medium speed of mixer for 2 mins. (Batter will be
thin). Pour batter evenly into prepared pans.
Bake 30-35 mins for round pans, 35-40 mins for
rectangular pan. (Or until wooden toothpick
inserted into middle comes out clean.)
Cool 10 mins, remove from pans and put on wire
racks. Cool completely then frost as desired.

Suggestions
Sour milk-Use 1 Tbsp white vinegar plus milk to equal 1 cup.
