Put yams in a bowl with the butter. Microwave for 1 minute. Mash the yams with an electric mixer. Add the sugar and continue to mix. Turn the mixer to low speed and add enough bisquick until you can roll the dough on a counter floured with bisquick.
Roll the dough until it is 1/2 inch thick. Cut out the biscuits. Bake at 350 for 20 - 25 minutes. Do not over bake.
