|
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Knead
in butter, then add buttermilk gradually, using a
fork or the back of a knife to mix the dough until
it is soft but not sticky.

Roll out on a floured board to a thickness of
about an inch or slightly more.
|
|
|
Cut out circles and bake in a 400-degree f. oven
on the top rack for about 15 mins till the scones
have risen and are golden-brown.

|
|
Cut scones in half.
Tip- A small glass, such a sa sherry glass is
ideal to cut out the scones.

Serve with whipped cream, creme fraiche or butter and strawberry jam
