     Hamburger Buns (bread machine)

Category   Desserts - Breads
Sub Category   None

Ingredients
1 cup milk
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup butter (melted)
1 tablespoon honey
1 egg (room temperature)
4 1/2 cups flour (I use 3 cups whole wheat, 1 1/2 cups white)
2 1/4 tsp yeast (one package)
1 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions
Pour milk, water, melted butter and honey into a glass bowl. Microwave until just warm. Add the lightly beaten egg. Pour into bread machine. Add flour on top of wet ingredients. Make a well in the flour for yeast and salt. Run machine's dough cycle. Take dough out, nead lightly and divide into 16 pieces (12 for larger buns). Roll into balls blace on greased sheet (parchment paper works great), flatten tops a bit, cover with cloth and let rise for 30 minutes until about doubled. Bake at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Brush the top with egg wash, sprinkle with poppy seeds, sesame seeds, sea salt, etc. if you wish.
