     Beef Au Jus

Ingredients
3 - 4 Pound Beef Roast
1/2 Cup Soy Sauce
1 Clove Garlic
1 1/2 Teaspoon Browning Sauce
1 Package Onion Soup Mix
5 Cups Water
2 Large Onions
1/4 Cup Butter
2 Cups Water
 

Instructions
Combine- beef, soy sauce, garlic, browning sauce, soup mix and water. Place in roaster in oven. Cover and bake at 325 degrees for 2 hours. Lightly brown onion rings in butter; add to beef. Continue cooking for 30 minutes or until beef is tender. Remove roast from cooking liquid and let stand 20 minutes before carving. Add 2 cups water to cooking liquid. Keep hot. Carve roast into thin slices. Return slices and serve in cooking liquid.
Serve on French Rolls or Hoagie Buns.
